Hotel Santa Justa is a brand new boutique hotel recently opened in Lisbon downtown. After the earthquake of 1755, all downtown Lisbon was rebuilt according to a new masterplan by Marquis de Pombal, resulting in an innovative anti-seismic construction. Since them, all this area, being listed in the National Heritage, remains with its character, although the old buildings are gradually changing their functions.
In the present case, a very well known department store of the sixties closed some years ago, regains its life as a new four star hotel, with 55 rooms and suites.

A full refurbishment project took place involving new structure, technical installations, and a complete interior renewal. The façade kept all the tradition and image of the XVIII century architecture. The interiors kept some of the ancient stones and archery of the ground floor. The Eiffel designed steel lift tower nearby, brought the inspiration for the interiors, influencing the colour palette, and imagery, designed in a contemporary style. PERSPECTIVE Lisbon was commissioned to do the full design, considering Architecture, Interior Design, and Project Coordination, reconverting this old Heritage building into a new use full of History and glamour. The public recognition of value of this new Hotel is revealed on being Lisbon nr 2 in Trip Advisor and Booking.
