Kilbride Court social housing development in Bray, Co. Wicklow, designed by Perspective Ireland Representative, COADY Architects, is the first multi-unit development to be awarded the Home Performance Index Gold Certification in Ireland.  The HPI was developed by the Irish Green Building Council as the first comprehensive sustainability certification for new Irish homes.  The certification goes well beyond the Building Energy Rating (BER) and addresses all 35 environmental impacts of new homes and encourages home builders to improve the health and wellbeing of occupiers.  Sustainable design certification is becoming an increasing factor in risk management and financing of building projects.  HPI Certification has been recognised by GRESB ensuring compliance with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) requirements and HPI Certification also improves access to financing with lower development interest rates.
